Occupational therapy (OT) helps people do the everyday activities β€” 'occupations' β€” that matter to them. For a child that means playing, writing, dressing and paying attention in class; for an adult it may mean eating, working or caring for themselves after an illness or injury. Therapists use structured activities and exercises to build these skills step by step.

Common signs include delayed milestones, clumsiness, very messy or slow handwriting, difficulty sitting still or paying attention, strong reactions to sounds/textures/movement, trouble with dressing or feeding, and difficulty playing with other children. If you're unsure, book an assessment β€” we'll tell you honestly whether therapy is needed.

The first visit is an assessment: we talk with you about your concerns and history, observe the patient in play or task activities, and use standardised tests where appropriate. You'll receive our findings, a written report if required, and a clear recommendation on goals and session frequency.

Sessions are typically 45 minutes, one-to-one. The number of sessions varies with the goals β€” some children need a few months of weekly sessions, others benefit from longer support. We review progress at fixed intervals and never continue therapy longer than it is genuinely helping.

Usually yes, especially for young children β€” parent involvement is central to our approach. For some goals the therapist may work one-to-one and then brief you at the end. Either way, you'll always know what we worked on and what to practise at home.

No. We also provide adult rehabilitation β€” for example hand therapy after injury, and functional retraining after stroke or neurological conditions. The goal is the same at any age: independence in daily life.

Yes. Our sister clinic, Articulate Audiology Clinic, provides speech-language therapy and audiology at the same location in Andheri West. Many children benefit from a combined speech + OT program, and our teams plan these together.

No referral is needed to book an assessment. However, if you have reports from a paediatrician, neurologist or psychologist, please bring them β€” they help us plan better.

Any previous medical or therapy reports, school feedback if relevant, and comfortable clothing for the patient. For children, you're welcome to bring a favourite toy or snack.

Book through the form on our appointment page, or call/WhatsApp us on +91 81082 74047. We're open Monday to Saturday, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with Sunday slots by special appointment.
